AMBER Alerts
U.S. Cellular® has joined forces with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to offer wireless AMBER Alerts via text message, free of charge.
How Does It Work?
Sign up to receive AMBER Alerts in your area by selecting up to five zip codes for the area(s) you are in most frequently. When a law enforcement agency has reasonable belief that a child has been abducted and is in imminent danger, it will issue an AMBER Alert which includes the child's name and other critical information. This information gets sent to you through U.S. Cellular as a text message. If you have information that could be helpful in finding the child, you would call the number that appears in the AMBER Alert. There is no cost involved with this valuable community service. All incoming text messages are free. Just Click the link below
